Apart from the rhinoceros, the sanctuary is also home to diverse species such as Indian elephants, Bengal tigers, spotted deer, barking deer, sambar, wild boars, and various bird species including the endangered Bengal florican, crested eagle, and the Pallas’s fish eagle. The rich diversity of plant life within the sanctuary includes tall elephant grass, the silk cotton tree, and the immensely valuable Sal tree, contributing to the overall ecological balance of the region.

Having over 500 Shimul trees within the property itself, you will get the enticing experience of living within a dense forest. Lose yourself in nature and find peace in the forest along with the river view, roars of animals and bird chirpings. If you’re lucky, wild animals, birds may come in your sight. Three of our cottages each built with their own specialties but all having one common factor that they are built from woods from the Jaldapara forest itself and perfectly complements the jungle vibe you’re looking for.
